Ordering of Repeat Medications

From 4th July 2016 we will no longer accept prescription requests from the Chemist.  You can only order medication by

1.  Placing your repeat medication slip in the box located in the waiting area

2.  Order online via our practice website at www.burnbankmedicalcentre.co.uk

3.  Telephoning our new prescription voicemail system 01698 456622 (available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week)

It is estimated that over £15 million pounds worth of prescribed medication in Scotland is wasted each year.  We all have a part to play in reducing this.

 

Failure to Attend Appointments

PLEASE BE AWARE IF YOU FAIL TO ATTEND AN APPOINTMENT YOU WILL BE SENT A LETTER ADVISING YOU OF SAME.  SHOULD YOU FAIL TO ATTEND 3 TIMES WITHIN A YEAR YOU WILL BE REMOVED FROM OUR PRACTICE LIST AND ASKED TO REGISTER WITH ANOTHER PRACTICE.

Test Results

Investigation results will  be given out by reception staff once they have been reviewed by a doctor. The doctor will advise staff of your results, allowing information to be passed to you over the telephone. Please note, if you have any queries regarding your results then please make an appointment with the doctor as Reception staff are not clinically trained.

For reasons of patient confidentiality please call for results between the hours of 1.30pm and 5.00pm. We do not give out results at our reception desk to maintain patient confidentiality.

Please ensure all samples are properly labelled with the date and time on the correct labels. All samples must be handed in before 3:30pm on the day the sample has been taken.
