When We Are Closedtelephone_brown

If you require a doctor in the event of an emergency when the surgery is closed please telephone NHS 24 on 111.  A receptionist in an emergency centre will answer your call:- ( www.nhs24.com)

They will either:

  • Arrange for you to speak to a doctor or a nurse
  • Invite you to attend the centre to be seen by a doctor
  • Arrange a home visit if you are too ill to visit the centre

Transport to and from the centre is available if you cannot arrange this yourself. Out of hours cover is now the responsibility of Lanarkshire Health Board.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In serious emergencies dial 999 for an ambulance If you have any difficulties in contacting NHS 24 dial the operator 100
